The Ohio State Alumni Club of Southwest Connecticut is committed to supporting the next generation of Buckeyes. The Club invites high school seniors from the area who have been admitted to Ohio State to apply for the Club’s scholarship program. Scholarship money may be awarded based on the following criteria:

  • Graduate from a high school in Fairfield or New Haven counties in Connecticut;
  • Resident of the state of Connecticut;
  • First year incoming student;
  • Admitted to the University;
  • Record of participation in school, community, extracurricular activities, and academic merit;
  • Quality of answers to several essay questions; and
  • Possibly, a personal interview with our local Scholarship Committee

ScholarshipUniverse simplifies the process of finding and applying for internal and external scholarships at Ohio State. This platform hosts all alumni club scholarships. Apply and/or update your profile each year by The Ohio State University priority date for maximum aid consideration.

Southwest Connecticut scholarship awards are typically in the range of $600 to $1200, depending on the availability of funds. The number of awards may also vary. Preference will be given to those students qualified under the Alumni Scholars Program criteria. Payment will be made to the student’s account at the Ohio State University and dispersed evenly one time each semester (Autumn/Spring) per school year.
